Where it all began.

September 11, 2005, I received my first digital camera for my birthday. At this time i wasn't really into photography, I just floated around taking pictures of random things, and friends just as memories. Then September 11, 2006 I got a new camera, nothing special just a small step up from my old one. I like to keep in touch with technology. So with that camera I took action shots of my friends biking, snowboarding and such. One day I met a guy named Cassidy Peck, we biked together for a little while, took some action shots of him biking, and when I showed them to him he was quite impressed, and to this day I'm not sure if he was just trying to make me feel good, or if he actually liked them. So I put those pictures on the internet, submitted a few in a contest or two. One day I decided to see if one of my favorite pictures was actually good. I submitted that photo to Trans-world BMX, an online/ offline magazine I liked, and that day they put it up on their fan site. I was amazed I really didn't think it was that great of a picture but, the people on the website thought otherwise. I had a bunch of comments on that one photo and then I realized, maybe I could be good at this. So around the beginning of December in 2008 I asked my mother for a professional grade Digital SLR camera. Sure enough Christmas morning there it was. I was so excited, I played around with it for hours not knowing what a single thing did. Months and months went by as I tried to figure out everything about this camera. Slowly but surely I got the hang of it. I took that camera everywhere and took pictures of everything: biking, snowboarding, beaches, sunsets, snowstorms, whatever was in front of me was also saved on my camera. I just loved it. One day on Facebook I got asked by my moms best-friends daughter to do their wedding, I was shocked. Of course I said yes, but i didn't promise excellence. I went to the wedding rehearsal and got all my shots memorized in my head, shutter speeds, apperatures, contrasts. The day of the wedding came, and I was a bit scared, what if they didn't like the pictures? I could ruin their wedding! I took 564 pictures that day and they loved almost every one of them. Now all I can think about is: I've got to get a better camera! I've got to upgrade, I've got to get my name out their. I've got to apply for college. Am I going to be making enough money to live? All i want to do is to become a professional photographer. That is my dream.
